Preparing household items
To guard your household goods against damage that could be caused by fire, explosion or leakage in the van.
· Dispose of flammables such as fireworks, cleaning fluids, matches acids, chemistry sets, aerosol cans, ammunition, etc.
· Drain fuel from your power mower and other machinery, and discard partly used cans of oil, paint, thinner or any other substances that may leak.
· Try to put all of your prescription medication in small baggies (Ziploc) and all jars of liquids you plan to take with you.
· Refillable tanks must be purged and sealed by a local propane gas dealer. Discard non refillable propane tanks, which are used to barbecue grills.
· Have rugs and draperies cleaned. Leave both wrapped when they are returned from the cleaners.

Before moving with your CD player there are certain procedures to follow which will protect your system from mechanical failure or damage due to normal physical shock which occurs during transport.
If the following tips are considered prior to moving, your CD player should arrive safely at destination.
Remember to remover all CDs from your player before packing.
Failure to remove CDs before packing could result in scratches to your CDs and damage to the laser in your CD player.
This would also be a good time to make sure that all of your CDs are back in their cases.
If you do not have the owner’s manual, item may be wise to draw a diagram of the wiring configuration for future hood up.
Some CD players come equipped with a “transport screw” usually located underneath the unit. Tighten this screw before packing; this will immobilize some of the inner parts. Refer to your owner’s manual to determine the location of the “transport screw”.
If your unit comes with a cartridge (stacker) for CD multiply, be sure to remove the cartridge before packing. The cartridge can be wrapped and packed in t e same box as the CD player. All CD trays whether single or multipaly should be in enclosed position before packing.
The best way to mover your CD player is in the original box with the original packing. In the event that you do not have the original packing material should snugly fill the excess room in the box so that the unit will not move around.
Plastic bubble sheets make an ideal packing material. Try to stay away from using newspaper this will not secure the unit as desired. Seal the box with reliable packing tape. In the event you’re original packing box is not available, your carrier will provide a sturdy packing container and materials.
If you have a remote control, be sure to pack this in the same box as your player. All wiring used with the CD player should also be packed in the same box.

There are two different types of move: local and long distance. A local move is a move within the state of origin. I.e. move from Orlando to Tampa. A long distance move is an interstate move which takes place at the state of origin to a different state.
If you are moving a local move the estimate will be based on an hourly rate as long as it is within 100 miles from origin. If the move is more than 100 miles you could get a price for the items you are moving or you could base it on an hourly rate.
If you are moving interstate move the price will be based on the space that the load takes on the truck. When moving interstate you should read and understand all the information you will receive. You could always refer to www.sunstatemovers.com and click on “rights” and it will give you your rights and responsibilities when you move. Also you can find on our website the participation in dispute settlement program which is done by AMSA.
It is important to try to make arrangements for your move well in advance, preferably four to six weeks before your moving date. You could find a very useful PDF file on our website that you can print which covers all the preparations before you move.

Moving companies provide different services for different prices. the new law requires every moving company in the moving industry to publish their own tarriff. up untill now most moving companies were using a common tariff which is called the 400N. New regulation require that each company will have their own unique tariff. Here at “Sunstate Movers” we have established our tariff with “MoverWorks” which is a reputible company and is approved by the department of transportation.
It is a good idea to call and search different moving companies in your area and get an idea of how much your move is going to cost. also, very important is to ask the different sales reps to provide you with a binding estimate to be able to get a price that is closer to actual. some moving companies will give you a non-binding price and take your belongings to the scale and then the final figure on the scale will determine the price for your move.
you can check the movers references and even speak personally with some of the customers. you can also check the movers’ reputation in the Better Business Bureau or the AMSA mover referal service at www.moving.com
once you have a list of movers in mind you can ask about the different services they offer. ask about storage in case you need one. our company offers 30 days free storage.
please check our website at www.sunstatemovers.com to find out more.
